If Farrah had been a sex symbol for four and a half decades, I would acknowledge her death in the same ring as Michael Jackson's, but she was a one decade wonder. Without the advancements of anti-aging in her time she stands no chance of holding a candle to MJ. And as Kyle so expertly mentions, Michael was a singer/songwriter/performer for over 40 years. I am trying to recall somebody more famous through the ages and only maybe Jesus or Julius Caesar are more well known, though not for their mad dance skills. Got to say I got goosebumps this morning listening to "Beat It". Sorry Farrah and the afore mentioned J's but can't say the same for you.

And I'm sick of everyone being like "Farrah Fawcett died today, too, how come everyone just cares about the child molester?!" It's sad that Farrah died, but MJ was (am I stretching this a little too far?) THE most famous superstar the world has ever known. Not to mention the fact that his death was completely unexpected. I'd say that makes it a little more newsworthy. Whether or not you believe he was a sicko, can't we all agree that yesterday we lost one of the most talented musicians in history?
